Word broke last night on the interwebs that the 2015 World Championship Snowmobile Hill climb at Snow King has been cancelled due to safety concerns.  Apparently warming temperatures have created an unsafe snow-pack.

From the Snow Devils website:

A joint decision has been reached by the Jackson Hole Snow Devils, US Forest Service, Town of Jackson, Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, and Snow King Resort to cancel the 40th Annual World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb due to unseasonably warm weather and poor conditions on the hill. This will no doubt be a big hit to the local economy as hotels, restaurants and bars are usually jam-packed with spectators for this long-running local event.
